6 FUNDAMENTAL STEPS IN LEARNING THE SKILLS OF HEALTHY AND FIT EATING

Anyone who has ever embarked on weight loss and body reshaping has encountered at least a few questions and concerns:

  • What can I eat and what can’t?
  • Will I endure this diet?
  • What will happen when I stop following these rules?
  • What should I do on my birthday?
  • What should I order for a drink with friends in the evening?
  • Oh, I was wrong again! Why do I need this when everyone else can enjoy it?
  • How many calories does this slice of pizza have?

For the successful and sustainable 🙂 transformation, it is necessary to find a way of eating that: it’s close to you which is sustainable for you and which does not irritate you in everyday life.

And just because losing weight and maintaining your physique is permanent, there are important skills that help you master healthier eating habits and don’t limit you in your life.

These skills need to be mastered step by step, just as we learn step by step all the other skills from walking, reading, skiing, playing an instrument, and so on.

In mastering the skills of healthy eating, the fundamental skills at the beginning of the path have the greatest impact on the change of well-being and posture (see picture).

And only when we win you over does it make sense to start dealing with which mineral or “fat burner” can help me.

HIERARCHY OF THE IMPORTANCE OF SKILLS FOR HEALTHY EATING BY IMPORTANCE AND ORDER:

  1. Aware and careful eating and appetite awareness (Am I really hungry, have I eaten and don’t need two extra spoons? Eating without distractions like reading, phones, etc.)
  2. The importance of energy balance and how much we eat (How big portions do I need? Without the necessary regular calorie counting)
  3. Macro nutrients (Carbohydrates, proteins and fats in my diet and how do I get enough of them? Which foods contain which macro nutrients?)
  4. Food quality and composition (Soda and rice have a lot of OH, but there is a difference in the composition of the rest)
  5. Time and diet (should I eat before training, do I have to eat during training, etc.?)
  6. Nutritional supplements (are supplements to already healthy eating habits. They come in handy when the basics are arranged and mastered).

Number 1 is the most important and is the basis for any further improvements in eating habits. The numbers 5 and 6 are the least important and come into play only when we master the other 4 and are consistent with them.
